Bailey's Upper Supports Our Military Connected Families

At Bailey’s Upper Elementary School, we are proud to be a part of the Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) family—a division that is deeply committed to welcoming and supporting every student and every family, with special focus on our military-connected families.

FCPS provides a rich tapestry of resources designed specifically for military-connected students and their families, including seamless registration options, guidance on academic planning and special education, and support during transitions in and out of the division. The division proudly participates in the Purple Star School Designation program, recognizing schools that demonstrate a major commitment to military-connected students and their families.

Here at Bailey’s Upper, we make that commitment personal. We welcome you—whether you’re just moving into the area, are on a short-term assignment, or have been part of our community for years. We know that the military lifestyle can bring unique transitions, and we want you—and your student—to feel supported, connected, and at home from day one.

What you can expect when you join the Bailey’s Upper community:

  • A welcoming environment where staff and peers are ready to help you navigate enrollment, adjustment, and connection.
  • A school community that values the diverse experiences and strengths of military-connected children and families.
  • Engagement with FCPS’s well-established suite of programs and resources for military families— everything from academic supports to transition assistance. fcps.edu+1
  • A place where your student can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically, no matter how many times moves or changes may have occurred.

We are eager to partner with you and your student, to build strong connections, celebrate your family’s service, and make Bailey’s Upper a place you are proud to call yours.

Welcome to the Tiger family! 🐯
