Summer Mental Wellness ResourcesNo-Cost Telemental Health Services Expanding to FCPS Middle School Students
All high school students in FCPS have access to free telemental health services through Hazel Health. Beginning July 1, 2026, middle school students will also have access to this service at no cost to families.
Virtual therapy sessions provide a safe space to address concerns such as:
- Mood/behavior changes, motivation, grief/loss.
- Anxiety, worry, fears.
- Social skills, bullying, peer and family relationships.
- Academic stress.
Parents/Guardians can refer a student by visiting the FCPS Teletherapy webpage or by contacting their child’s school counselor, social worker, psychologist or Director of Student Services.
Your Child's Mental Wellness Matters: Access Comprehensive Services
Reach out to the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) for specialized youth mental health services designed to help your child succeed. The CSB has individual and family counseling, psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, medication management, parent groups, peer support, crisis response, recovery support that include medication-assisted treatment (MAT), intensive services and other services.

Additional Mental Health Resources
FCPS has resources available to support your child’s mental health . Parents/guardians and students who need additional support can use the 988 Lifeline to get free, confidential guidance from trained crisis counselors on how to best help someone experiencing those crises or suicidal thoughts.
Please note, the hotline is not only for those experiencing suicidal ideation (or thoughts), it is also available for anymental health or substance abuse-related crisis and those with a loved one experiencing those crises or suicidal thoughts.

Expunge FormMiddle school offers the unique opportunity to expunge a high school credit course (HS math courses and World Language Courses). This means that there would be no record of this year’s grade on their high school transcript. Please review your child's third quarter grades and contact your child's school counselor for any questions. If you would like to start this process, here is the link to the Expunge Form .

FCPS, in partnership with Inspire Health Alliance, will provide school-required immunizations and optional flu shots for all FCPS students with no out-of-pocket costs. Multiple events will take place at designated FCPS locations. Additional dates will be available throughout the school year.

- Inspire Immunization Events for All FCPS Students (Summer 2026) In partnership with Inspire Health Alliance, FCPS will offer school-required immunizations during Summer 2026 at no out-of-pocket cost to families, including students without insurance. Families can view upcoming event dates, registration information, and additional immunization resources on our FCPS and Inspire Health Alliance Student Immunization Events | Fairfax County Public Schools webpage.
- Department of Family Services: Parent Support Line. Building Stronger Families
Do you have questions about parenting or need someone to talk to? Parenting specialists with the Fairfax County Department of Family Services are available to support families. Specialists can help with child development questions, parenting strategies, reducing stress, and connecting families with community resources. Call the Parent Support Line: 703-324-7720 - The Energy Assistance Program (EAP) Cooling Assistance application period is now open through August 17, 2026. Eligible households with a vulnerable household member (senior, young child, or individual with a qualifying disability) may receive assistance with electric bills, security deposits, cooling equipment repairs, or the purchase of a fan or window air conditioner. - FCPS Adult and Community Education (ACE) – Adult ESOL Program (Summer 2026) July 6–31, 2026 | New Student Testing: June 15–22, 2026 (varies by location) FCPS Adult and Community Education is offering in-person English classes for adults this summer to help participants improve their speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills. Classes are available at multiple Fairfax County locations, and all new students must complete a placement test and present one original identification document before registering. Langley HS is offering a no cost Algebra 1 Summer Boost Camp in July. It is intended for rising 9th graders who will take Algebra 1 at Langley next school year. It will be led by Langley math teachers. Camp dates and times are July 27-31, 2026 from 9 AM-1 PM.
