We are experiencing some challenging times and as a school community we understand the impact these uncertainties can have on families.  There are several community-based resources available that can support your family. Please see the list of resources below.   • Abiding Presence Food Pantry Info

     Abiding Presence Lutheran Church

     2nd & 4th Saturdays from 8:00-10:30 a.m. (At 7:30 am, we will begin giving each household a number for entry into the pantry)

     Abiding Presence offers a “no questions asked” food pantry for anyone in need. This is our primary method of offering assistance. We       

     are  not  able to provide rental, gas, clothing, gift card or cash assistance.

  • Lorton Community Action Center

     Tuesday: 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.  Wednesday: 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. 

  • ECHO- Springfield

    Provides support to those in need in the Springfield/Burke community — providing food, clothing, housewares, diapers, school supplies, refurbished computers, and limited financial assistance with rent, utilities, and car repairs. Serves those who reside in zip codes 22151, 22152, 22153, 22015, parts of 22150 (West of I - 95)

     First Fridays/Green Groceries

First Friday/Green Groceries provides free, fresh produce from the Capital Area Food Bank to our neighbors in need. It is held on the first Friday of each month as a drive-thru event in the parking lot at St. Stephen’s. The drive-thru begins at 5 p.m. and lasts until 6 p.m. or sooner if we no longer have food available. All are welcome and no pre-registration is required.

Fourth Saturday Food/Clothing Distribution 

Starts at 7 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of each month. If you know of an individual or family in need, please spread the word about this free food, diaper and clothing distribution event open to all.

NOTE: In November and December, Grace Ministries will be held on the THIRD Saturday of those months.
