VIP Summer Camp
A fun, safe, and engaging summer experience designed just for Fairfax middle school students
We believe every student is a very important person. Our mission is to provide a safe, enriching environment where your child can stay active, spark new interests, and build lasting friendships.
Led by the experts from FCPS Middle School After-School Programsand Fairfax County Neighborhood and Community Services, our campers enjoy a dynamic mix of sports and games, fitness, creative arts, STEM activities.
🗓️ Program Essentials
- Who:Rising 7th, 8th graders residing in Fairfax County (and rising 6th grade students at Glasgow, Holmes and Poe MS).
- Where:Held at five convenient FCPS Middle School sites. These are the sites for July 2026.
- Eastern VIP Camp at Whitman MS
- This camp welcomes students from the Hayfield, Key, Sandburg, Twain and Whitman middle school neighborhoods.
- Central VIP Camp at Glasgow
- This camp welcomes students from the Glasgow, Holmes, Jackson, Kilmer, Poe, and Thoreau middle school neighborhoods.
- North VIP Camp at Carson MS
- This camp welcomes students from the Carson, Cooper, Herndon, Hughes, and Longfellow middle school neighborhoods.
- Southern VIP Camp at South County MS
- This camp welcomes students from the Frost, Lake Braddock, Irving, Robinson, and South County middle school neighborhoods.
- Western VIP Camp at Liberty MS
- This camp welcomes students from the Franklin, Johnson, Liberty, Rocky Run, and Stone middle school neighborhoods.
- Eastern VIP Camp at Whitman MS
- Dates:Wednesday, July 1 to Thursday, July 30 (Closed Friday, July 3).
- Hours:9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ( Early drop-off available at 8 a.m. ).
🚌 Transportation
Buses will be provided to/from camp from various feeder schools. Your camp site will share those routes and times in June.
🎒 Field Trips
Campers will have the opportunity to attend 3-5 exciting field trips!
- Cost:Additional fees apply to cover admission and transportation (averaging $20-40 per trip).
- Payment:Paid via MySchoolBucks or Cash in advance (no day-of payments).
- Note:Participation in field trips is optional. However, there is no on-site alternate programming available on field trip days. Students not attending trips must make alternate plans for that day.
💳 Fees and Paperwork
- Cost:$100 per camper, plus Field Trip fees.
- Financial Aid:Scholarships are available for families experiencing financial hardship. Please contact your school’s After-School Specialist for details.
- Payment Methods:We accept MySchoolBucks, Cash, or Money Orders.
- Important:Failure to complete paperwork and payment by the deadline will result in the spot being offered to the next student on the waitlist.
📝 How to Register
Space is limited. To ensure a balanced camp experience, participants are selected based on a variety of factors (including school representation, grade level, and registration timing).
The 5-Step Process:
- Review Information Packet:Camp policies and procedures are outlined in the packet linked below.
- Submit Application :Complete the online registration form opening March 17, 2026, at 6 p.m.
- Status Notification:Watch for an email in mid-April regarding acceptance or waitlist status.
- Secure Your Spot:Complete all required paperwork and submit the $100 payment.
- Attend Meeting:Join us for the mandatory Parent/Guardian Meeting. Details will be sent in acceptance email.
