SIS ParentVUE provides parents with electronic access to their child's information.
The resources below will guide you on how to create, activate, and/or access your SIS ParentVUE account.

How to Activate Your SIS ParentVUE Account
If you are the parent/guardian of a current student and do not have an activation key, contact your child’s school to request an activation letter to activate your account. Once you have your activation key, follow the steps below to activate your account.
- Open your browser and navigate to https://myparent.fcps.edu
- Read the Privacy Policy and click I Agree
- Enter your First Name, Last Name, and Activation Key as they appear on the activation letter. Click Next.
- Enter a valid email address and confirm. This will be your username.
Enter a password that meets the listed requirements on the screen and confirm. Click Next . - Please read and follow the instructions on the message that displays on the screen.
- You will receive an email to complete the activation of your account. Click on the link in the message to confirm your account.
- Your account will be activated, and you may log in.
SIS ParentVUE Overview
How to Use the "Forgot Password" Option in SIS ParentVUE
- Navigate to the SIS ParentVUE login screen.
- Click on Forgot Password .
- On the next screen, enter your username , then click Next .

If you have not set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) before, a Register MFA screen will appear.
Select one of the available options.a. Recommended options: Email or Remind Me Later.
b. For other methods, click on the “Instructions for Setup” link on the screen.
5. If you select Email , you will receive a message with a one-time verification code . Enter the verification code on the next screen, then click "Next."
6. Create a new password.
Enter it in the "New Password" field, then re-enter the same password in the "Confirm Password" field. Click "Next."7. A confirmation message will appear: "You have successfully changed your password."
Click the link to return to the SIS ParentVUE login screen.8. You will also receive an email confirming your recent password change .
9. On the login screen, enter your username and new password to sign in.
How to "Change Username" in SIS ParentVUE
- Go to the SIS ParentVUE login screen.
- Click on “Change Username.”
- Enter your current username and password, then click “Next.”
- A message titled “FCPS Parent Change Username” will appear, and a verification link will be sent to your new email address.
- Click the verification link in the email to confirm your username change.
- Return to the SIS ParentVUE login screen and log in using your new username.
How to "Change Password" in SIS ParentVUE
- Go to the SIS ParentVUE login
screen.
Click on "Change Password." - On the next screen, enter your username and current password , then click "Login."

5. You will be asked whether to remember this device :
Select "Yes" only if using an FCPS or personal device.
Select "No" for public or shared devices.
Click "Next."
6. Your FCPS parent profile page will open.
7. To change your password, click on "Reset."
8. The Change Password screen will appear.
Enter your new password , then re-enter it in the Confirm Password field.
Click "Next."9. A confirmation message will appear stating that your password has been successfully changed .
10. You will also receive a Recent Password Change confirmation email.
11. Click the link to return to the SIS ParentVUE login screen.
12. On the login screen, enter your username and new password to sign in.
SIS ParentVUE Frequently Asked Questions
- The activation key expires at 12:00 am on the date listed as Key Valid Until. This means you must create the account before the date in their letter. If the key has expired you will need to contact your child’s school for a new key.
- Check the Spam or junk mail folder of your personal email address.
- After activating your SIS ParentVUE account, there is a 24-hour delay before access to other applications is enabled. This is due to an overnight synchronization process that securely updates your account information across all related systems.
- After changing your password in SIS ParentVUE, it may take up to 30 minutes for the update to be reflected across all other connected applications.
- Contact your child’s school office so that another activation letter can be reprinted for you.
- You will only need to create one account. Once your account is created, you will see information for all of your children.
- It is recommended to clear your browser cache or restart your device as an initial troubleshooting step. If the error persists, please submit a Parent Support Request ticket for technical support.
