Request Exemption for Keywords Stay organized with collections
Save and categorize content based on your preferences.
To request exemption for keywords:
Store all the exemptible policy violation keys included in PolicyViolationDetails
,
which is returned when your first attempt to create a keyword fails.
Send a mutate request to create the keyword again by including the stored
exemptible policy violation keys.
Caution: If your keyword contains non-exemptible policy violations, you
cannot follow these steps to request exemption. Instead, you must modify your
keyword text to avoid the violations.
Store all exemptible policy violation keys
The error details for keywords are included in PolicyViolationDetails
, which in turn
stores the key
field whose value is an object of PolicyViolationKey
.
Collect all exemptible policy violation keys to be used in the next step:

"""Demonstrates how to request an exemption for policy violations of a keyword.
Note that the example uses an exemptible policy-violating keyword by default.
If you use a keyword that contains non-exemptible policy violations, they will
not be sent for exemption request, and you will still fail to create a keyword.
If you specify a keyword that doesn't violate any policies, this example will
just add the keyword as usual, similar to what the AddKeywords example does.
Note that once you've requested policy exemption for a keyword, when you send
a request for adding it again, the request will pass like when you add a
non-violating keyword.

=head1 NAME
handle_keyword_policy_violations
=head1 DESCRIPTION
This example demonstrates how to request an exemption for policy violations of a keyword.
Note that the example uses an exemptible policy-violating keyword by default. If you use
a keyword that contains non-exemptible policy violations, they will not be sent for
exemption request and you will still fail to create a keyword.
If you specify a keyword that doesn't violate any policies, this example will just add the
keyword as usual, similar to what the add_keywords.pl example does.
Note that once you've requested policy exemption for a keyword, when you send a request for
adding it again, the request will pass like when you add a non-violating keyword.
=head1 SYNOPSIS
handle_keyword_policy_violations.pl [options]
-help Show the help message.
-customer_id The Google Ads customer ID.
-ad_group_id The ad group ID.
-keyword_text [optional] The keyword to be added to the ad group.
