After fighting cancer almost all year long, the warrior Kate Middleton made a stylish comeback at the Festival of Remembrance. But this isn’t the first time Kate made a public appearance after her cancer diagnosis.
The Princess also attended other high-profile public events. To find out more information, keep reading.
Kate Middleton stepped out with the Royal Family after her intensive chemo-therapy session showing the world that the Princess of Wales is still standing strong. The event without a doubt was a significant moment for Kate.
The appearance was a symbol of her speedy recovery and it looks like the Princess is going to slowly but surely make a comeback. Despite her time away, Kate looked fresh and healthy.
The Festival of Remembrance is held to pay respect to serving personnel, veterans, and their families. Remembrance Day is celebrated to recall the end of First World War hostilities.
The Festival of Remembrance is dear to the Royal Family and is attended by every important member of the family. This year the event took place on 9th November.
Just like always Kate Middleton looked graceful and composed during the entire event. As a gesture of respect and for the sake of consistency, Kate Middleton wore all black.
The tailored dress was paired with a hose and heels that went with the entire look. The look was completed with a quilted clutch a side-parted wavy hairstyle along with a sapphire engagement ring.
Kate Middleton like always has to make a statement, whether it’s with her attire or her jewelry. This time the Princess of Wales donned a Nura Pearl Necklace from the British brand Monica Vinader.
She was also seen wearing the Fleet Air Arm Brooch. This was given to her in 2023 when she was announced Commodore-in-Chief of the Fleet Air Arm.
The Princess of Wales shared the diagnosis of her illness earlier this year shocking her fans and loved ones around the globe. No official statement has been released by the Palace regarding the type of cancer Kate has.
The cancer was found during a planned abdominal surgery that took place in January this year. Her cancer diagnosis in Kate’s own words came as a “huge shock” and they aimed to “manage things privately for the sake of their young family.”
Kate Middleton finally got done with her chemotherapy sessions in September that took place earlier this year. The chemotherapy was more of a “preventative” type which focused on stopping the cancer from recurring.
In Kate’s June 2024 statement, she said, “I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.”
The Princess of course had to be supported by the Royal Family members. Kate Middleton and Prince William were seen side-by-side throughout the event.
King Charles III was also present at the event and received a standing ovation, given his ongoing fight with cancer. The family put on a united front and celebrated the cause with full vigor.
Prince William who was seen side by side with the Princess of Wales was wearing a military dress for the respectable occasion. The Prince opted for the Royal Airforce uniform.
This attire was complemented by a greatcoat. The Prince was looking dapper for sure with the perfect hint of elegance.
Queen Camilla wasn’t seen with King Charles at the Festival Remembrance Day. This was because the queen had a chest infection which made it extremely difficult for her to attend the event.
The palace released a statement on Saturday that stated that the Queen’s absence was due to medical reasons and that her illness (seasonal chest infection) was viral. Charles excused the crowd on her behalf and sent the Queen’s well-wishes to everyone.
The Prince and Princess didn’t leave each other’s side throughout the event. According to the body language experts on the internet, the couple were nothing but affectionate towards each other.
In one instance, Prince William was seen holding Kate’s waist lovingly. Kate and William always kept their public PDA to the minimum but this event was quite the exception with all the protective touches and glances.
Everyone was well aware of the fact that the past year had been nothing but brutal for the Royal Family with the sickness of both King Charles and Kate Middleton.
Hence, seeing both of them happy and healthier than ever warmed the hearts of the audience and all those who were watching the event online. Social media buzzed with well-wishes of support and love for her.
Kate’s last public appearance was in October when she met the families of the three young girls who who lost their lives at the dance class. Then she joined the royals at the Remembrance event which shows that the Princess is gradually making a comeback.
The Princess also attended the Remembrance Sunday ceremony in central London hinting at the gradual return to public duties. It seems like the Princess is fit and we couldn’t be more happier for her.
Kate made her first public appearance on June 15 at Trooping the Color after her cancer diagnosis. Her second public appearance was at the men’s singles final on the 14th day of Wimbledon.
Prince William has also been attending different events without her wife, including the Prize Ceremony in South Africa. Check out Prince William Heads to South Africa for the Prize Ceremony and get more information on this event.
Kate Middleton has resumed public duties and she’s not slowing down anytime soon. The Princess is set to host the annual carol service this Christmas.
An insider at the Palace confirmed that “Princess Catherine is ensuring her presence at every important royal event, following the instruction of her medical team and health experts.”
