For a long time, I couldn't read over your letters. I tied them together into a bundle and buried them deep in a box, but they burned at me.
If I look up at the night sky, and there's a star glowing brilliant beside the crescent moon, I think of the light in your half-closed eye - I snuck a look, once, as you embraced me.
If I look up at the night sky and the moon shines wan or sharp or pale or bright, I think of you. Do you remember how we used to look up at the moon every night at a set time? And think of each other in the same moonlight, however far we were? And we dreamt.
