１１月28日の英単語は、「emancipate」
例文：His book emancipate d women from old restrictions.
"The students liberated their slaves upon graduating from the university"は、emancipationですね。

例文：We tried to trace the path of the sinuous stream, but it veered（向きを変える、曲がる）and curved in every direction.
定義: (adjective) Characterized by many curves or turns; winding.

The brain processes and registers facial expressions in less than 40 milliseconds, but researchers have found that not all emotional expressions are processed at the same speed.
A study examining the responses of test subjects to images of fearful, neutral, and happy expressions found that people become aware of faces with fearful expressions fastest.
Since a fearful expression often conveys（運ぶ）a potential threat, this mechanism of rapid fear detection（探知）may have evolved from the need to quickly direct attention toward dangerous situations.

そういう意味です。the Emancipation Proclamationというと、アメリカの奴隷解放宣言のことです。
