We don’t need televisions in waiting room; pleasant and comforting music is enough. Cosmetics? Nah! If dermatologist is in the team keep the cosmetic case only in her/his office.

For the replacement of my retired doctor a female doctor was introduced. She is a conscientious doctor and I like her.
“So, how do you like this mammoth hospital?” I asked.
“For the first few weeks I was thinking ‘What was I thinking?’ but, now I am appreciating the comfort of team works. Because no frustration of self management,” she said.
In other words, there is no emergency call while she is vacationing because other doctors would cover her patient. For example, I also had a team of three gynecologists and the doctor who delivered my son was not my main doctor.
True, doctors are people, too, so I understand their point of view but for patient it is a bit insecure feeling and a disappointment.

　待合室にテレビなど要らない、心休まる音楽を

流しておくだけで十分。化粧品も無必要。皮膚科も

一緒になっていたようだが、それならその医者の

診察室にだけ入れておけば良い。

　私の元の医者がリタイアーしてした為に女医に

変わった。彼女自身はとっても良心的な医者で好きである。

「どう？このマンモス病院に移った感じ?」と聞いたら

「最初の数週間は、何でこんな所に越したのだろう

って思ったけど、今ではチームでやる楽さに感謝して

るわ。単独経営のフラストがないから」との事。

　つまり、チームで婦人科をやる場合なら、他の医者が

患者のカバーをするから自分のバケーション中に緊急

呼び出しされる事がないからである。

ちなみに、私の産婦人科も三人の医者がチーム

だったから実際に息子を取り上げたのは主治医では

なかった。たしかに、医者も人間であるから、彼ら

の立場に経って考えれば理解出来るが、患者としては

ちょっと不安かつ不満なのだ。
