I received a Christmas package from BLOG friend Mimoza in December. Inside, I found another package for my friend Marianne who traveled to Japan with me last year.
Marianne is a world traveler who doesn’t stay in one place for a long time. As soon as she came back from Japan, she was gone to San Diego, then flew to Oregon.
After Oregon, she flew to Tahiti where her daughter family lives (within Tahiti she goes from one island to another). Three months later she came back and, again, flew to Oregon where her son family lives. “Hiroko, I’m finally home,” she phoned me one day in March. “I thought you’d never come back. I’m holding your Christmas package since December.” “I’ll come and get it right away.” I waited but she called me again. “Sorry, but I’m too busy packing to leave. I’ll pick it up after I come back from two week cruise to Hawaii.” What a boring life.....too bad! Last week, she finally got her Christmas gift.
