GPU搭載のR61の実践ですが、マスキングの方法が動画で紹介されています。 アルミ皿の底をコア部分だけ空けて炙っています。残念ながら距離や時間などは分かりません。 面白いなと思ったのは、「Using a torch and an old penny」? ペニーってあの小さな硬貨ですか…?(なんと最後に、コアとヒートシンクの間にペニー硬貨をサンドしています。)

This is actually a really good idea. It may look extreme but the fact is that the motherboard components are soldered in place by a reflow oven process where it goes trough a temperature ramp going above 200*C. In this industrial process all solder connections are realized at once by melting the solder paste deposited on each component pad. If your motherboard has any solder point issues (cracked joint due to heat-up cool-down cycles of expansion and shrinking) a process like this will actually fix it permanently. While it all looks nice you may have to take into account that some components might have been added to the motherboard (plastic connectors etc) in a separate low temperature or manual soldering process and they may be reflow soldering incompatible. This means you will be damaging or destroying these components in the oven this way. So it may be risky. But as a last resort it can be quite a nice idea! In the worst case you learn your Laptop internals.?
