芝生化奮闘記

　先程、大阪のどこかのサッカー場の芝生の状態があまりよくないので対策を教えて欲しいという内容の電話がありました。維持管理内容を聞くと「分からない」そうです。

　これだけで判断はほとんど無理なので、現状が分かる写真を送って欲しい旨を伝えたら、「写真がないと分からないのか」とご機嫌が少し悪くなったらしくて、電話を切られました。

　このような問い合わせに対応したくない訳ではないですが情報が必要です。

　電話なさる前に、面積、いつごろ芝生化した、利用内容、維持管理内容の情報及び現状が分かる写真を用意して、これらをメールで送ってもらいたいです。

　少なくても、自分が求めている回答がない場合は機嫌悪くして電話を切らないで欲しいです。

  Some bloke from Osaka just called me for advice on the grass at a soccer field he and his friends use. He had no information on the field or maintenance schedule.

  This being too little information to offer informed advice, I asked if he could send a photograph. This request seemed to upset him as he answered curtly "Don't have any photos" and hung up.

   It is not that I do not wish to be helpful but I do need information.

  Before calling, please get some basic information including the area, when it was converted to grass, basic use and maintenance and if possible send it by e-mail.

 At the very least,  do not act like a spoilt child and hang up when our answer is not exactly what you wanted.
