All of the “to-earn” models should be looked at in depth and valid questions to ask are:

「稼ぐために～する」モデルのすべてが徹底的に見られるべきで、すべき正当な質問は、下記の通りです：

- Why should those actions be rewarded financially?

- There needs to be a clear value system to have a feasible model.

- Who is actually paying into the system?

There needs to be a clear “employer” to have a sustainable model.

Interestingly the “to-earn” models have started from a gaming environment and as Chris Dixon of Andreesen Horowitz famously wrote, “the next big thing starts out looking like a toy.”

We’re about to see blockchain history repeat itself

Two months ago, I started a post with this:
２カ月前に、私は下記のことを投稿し始めました：

“Wanna create a crypto project worth a billion dollars? Just convince a chunk of the Bitcoin or Ethereum ecosystem to fork off.”

「１０億ドルの価値を持つ暗号通貨事業を作りたいのですが？ただビットコインあるいはイーサリアム生態系のかたまりを分岐するよう説得してください。」

The Merge is coming, which is when Ethereum makes a big change to its underlying functionality.

併合がやって来ますが、そのことはイーサリアムがその根本的な機能性に対する大きい変更をするときです。

Previously, it worked like Bitcoin, where people spend lots of money buying big computers that race to solve a math problem that earns them the right to some reward (this is called Proof of Work). The future state gets rid of that.

This is good for a lot of reasons, including enabling future scalability and 99.5%+ reduction in energy consumption (no more wasting power computing “useless” math), but not everyone is happy.

In particular, the people who spent a lot of money on those big computers are really keen to maximize their return on those computers. They’re not happy that their investment is about to be a whole lot less relevant.

So what are they doing? Some of them are planning to fork Ethereum.

Forking is simple to understand. If a blockchain is a group of computers collectively deciding what has happened, some sub-group can simply dispute and say, “No, we believe another set of things has happened.” And that alone generates a new reality — a new blockchain. (What is reality, anyways??)

分岐することは理解するのが簡単です。もしブロックチェーンが総合して何が起きたか決めるコンピュータのグループであるなら、若干のサブグループが単純に論争できて、「いいえ、我々はものごとの別のセットが起きていると信じる。」と、言うことができます。そしてそれはそれだけで新しい現実－新しいブロックチェーンを生成します。（とにかく、現実とは何か ?? ）
