I’ve been watching markets for years. But I’ve never seen a day quite like this one.

Oil opened, ripped 23% higher, then crashed 30% — all in a single session. It ended down about 25% from Friday’s close.

The Strait of Hormuz is only about 20 miles wide. It handles roughly 20% of the world’s oil supply. When tension flares there, the entire global economy holds its breath.

I’ve watched Bitcoin crash 40% in a weekend. I’ve seen small-cap stocks collapse on no news. But watching oil — one of the most important commodities on the planet — trade like a volatile altcoin? That genuinely surprised me.
