It was summer. There were some holes on the ground in a forest park where cicada larvae had come out. Usually they come out of the ground in the early morning when it is still dark. However, when this cicada larva finally showed his face after taking a lot of time to dig a way out of the hard earth, it was already midday. He crawled up a styrax tree and stopped under the lowest branch. Then he shed his castoff skin, and stayed still to dry his wings. Thereupon a worker ant passed by the cicada saying: “Oh, I've found one. Hey, everybody! I've got our next meal! Here! This way…” “W…wow! Please overlook me!” The cicada asked to the ant.
After a while, the cicada took off saying: “Thank you. I won't forget your kindness for the rest of my life.”
Ten days later, when the ant came out of his nest hole in the morning, there he found the cicada's dead body.
