から、今日は輸入車を中心に紹介します。
輸入車の中で注目を集めていたのが、横浜ゴムブースに展示されていたマッハ号の実寸大モデルです。
１９６０年代に日本でヒットした人気アニメ「 マッハGoGoGo 」を実写化したハリウッド映画「 スピード・レーサー 」に登場するレーシングカーがこのマッハ号。
横浜ゴムは主人公の乗る「マッハ号」にタイヤを提供するほか、映画公開前後には同社が海外拠点を構える約40か国でプロモーションを展開する関係で、今回の展示が実現したようです。
子供の頃マッハ号のプラモデルを買って遊んでいた程好きだったので、当時が懐かしく感じました。
