Joint marine training bearing the terrorism on the ocean and the measure against a pirate in the Strait of Malacca which is the important place of the seaborne traffic of Southeast Asia in mind was expected to carry out by the framework of the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) which consists of 24 nation and mechanisms, such as the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and inside of Japan and the U.S., in 2006.
