グーグル「Google Health」発表 Google to Offer Health Records
ウォールストリートジャーナル、読売新聞や日本経済新聞などのオンライン版では、以下のような記事が紹介されていました。グーグル社がいよいよ医療分野に本格参入してきました。この業界の変化もさらに激しさを増すばかりです。（以下に記事抜粋）「フロリダ州オーランド発--検索大手のGoogleは米国時間2月28日、「Google Health」と業界内の主要提携企業について発表した。Googleは、Google Healthが個人健康記録サービスとして、人々が自分の健康に関する情報すべてを一カ所で得ることができるようになることを目指す。Google Healthは、米国で年間行われる20億回のX線検査、6200万回のCATスキャンなどの健康データを、患者がオンライン上でアクセスできるようにすることを目指す。 将来的には、Walgreen、Aetna、Wal-Mart Store、カリフォルニア大学サンフランシスコ校、American Heart Association、Quest Diagnostics、Longs Drugs、American Medical Association、Cedars-Sinai Medical Center、スタンフォード大学Lucile Packard Children's Hospitalなど大規模病院、薬局、保険会社とも提携していく。」In the on-line sites of Wall Street Journal, Nikkei and Yomiuri, there are articles about “Google Health was announced”. This would cause drastic unforeseen changes in medical and health related industry. Extracts are as follows.Google Inc. today announced an online repository where consumers can store their health information -- a move that could boost the nation's fledgling efforts to adopt electronic medical records.With the Web service, called Google Health, consumers will be able to enter their own basic medical data and invite their doctors to electronically send information that would be stored by Google.Google, best known for its Web search service, has been hinting at an expansion into health-related services since 2006. Last week, the company disclosed an online health-care project with Cleveland Clinic, a nonprofit medical center. Under the pilot program, patients can take their medical data stored in a Cleveland Clinic personal health record, and safely share it with an online Google health profile.Revolution Health aims to make it easier for users to include doctors' official reports in a personal health record. Consumers or their doctors can fax a paper-based medical record to Revolution Health and within 24 hours the site will post an image of the record online.

医師不足で嘆く地域住民の多くの方々 患者不足で嘆く新規開業の多くの医師そんな相反する事例が共存しているのが今の日本の医療状況です。その矛盾を少なくするために、我々として何ができるだろうか？そこに顧客満足、あるいはビジネスチャンスのヒントが隠されているのでは？ There are a lot of people who are worried about shortage of medical doctors.There are a lot of new medical practitioners concerning small patients.This contradiction is the issue we Japanese are confronting.What should we do to contribute to solutions for this issue?We might discover hints about customer satisfaction, or even business opportunities.

「まだ40代」？ いや「40代だ！これからだ！」 “ 40’s? Yet!”? No! “40’s! Go for it!”
昨日47歳になったばかりですが、人生の折り返し点を過ぎたなんて全く思っていません。「40代？まだまだ！」でなく「40代１これからじゃ！」という気持ちです。（やせ我慢も多少、いやかなりありますが・・）目をハリウッドに転ずれば、シルベスタ・スターロンさん、アーノルド・シュワルツネッガーさんなどは、40代後半でバリバリとアクションシーンを演じておられました。日本のプロレス界では、藤波辰巳さん、長州力さん、天竜源一郎さんが50代で頑張っています。同じ「人間」です。負けるわけにはまりません。当然普段からの健康管理は大切ですが・・・Yesterday was my 47th birthday, but I do not think I have already passed turning point of my life.“ 40’s? 47年分の感謝 I must thank to a lot of persons and something great for 47 years.
本日47回目の誕生日を迎えました。といいましても、普段と変わらない休日を過ごしてしました。ただ47年もの間、直接間接に数多くの方にお世話になっていること、助けられていること。そしてこの世を動かしている大きな存在、ある意味「神」とも呼べるのでしょが、それに見守られてきていることを実感した日でもありました。（特定の宗教団体に帰依しているわけではないのですが）Today is my birthday of 47 years old.But I spend this day as usual as holidays.However I must thank a lot of persons who have taken care and helped me directly or indirectly.Moreover I must realize something great, so-called God, has guarded and raised me for all my life.( Although I do not devote nor belong to some religion)

MR懸賞論文発表に際して Do not stay beginnes stage.
ＭＲ懸賞論文の結果が発表されました。受賞された方の作品を読んだのですが、ＭＲが「生命や健康にかかわる仕事」であることの自覚ややりがいについて、説得力のある内容で述べられていました。その意味ではとても「教科書的」な素晴らしい作品だと思います。特にこれからＭＲになろうとしている方々には大変参考になるものです。他にもユニークな作品など良いものがあったのでしょうが、このような観点から選ばれたのでしょう。と同時に、（吾輩個人の意見ですが）ＭＲの醍醐味や可能性はそれだけにとどまりません。「生命や健康にかかわる仕事である」ことを十分に認識しながらも、さらに自分自身の様々な持ち味や強みを生かして、顧客の問題解決に役立っていく。それが何らかの形での医療への貢献となるわけです。そしてその過程での、「出会い」や「思い出」も貴重な財産となるはずです。ＭＲ－ＮＥＴのメンバーの方々は、そのレベルまで行っている方が多いようですね。The result of MR report contest was hosted and revealed by MR education and accreditation center of Japan.I found some wined reports persuasive in view of missions and values for MR as life and health related professional.It is doubtless that those reports are excellent works as ideal model for MR.And those are so informative especially for persons who are going to be MRs.Although there might be a lot of other good reports, those seemed to be selected in this viewpoint.Besides, in my strong opinion, beyond that, there are a lot of challenges and possibilities for MR professional.It is needless to say we must keep in mind as” life and health related professional”, moreover we can make most of our strength and specialties to help customers solution.This is also contribution to medical and health matters.In addition we have and will meet many good persons and share a lot of useful time.Members of MR-NET must be enjoying such MR life.

クリーブランドクリニック 恐るべき優良財務状況 Cleveland Clinic is also good at financial condition.
クリーブランドクリニックは、アメリカの2007年度ベストホスピタルとして選ばれましたが、その年次報告書の中の財務報告を見て驚いてしまいました。なんと2006年度グループ全体の総収入が約44億ドル（約4500億円）、同純利益が約3億7千万ドル（約410億円）という数字です。（1ドル＝110円として）日本のほとんどの病院が厳しい財政状況にあるのとは対照的です。I was surprised to read the annual report of Cleveland Clinic which was recognized as the best hospital of USA in 2007.According to financial statement in 2006 on it, comprehensive annual revenue amounts to around $440millinon (around 45,000million yen), net income $37million (around 410 million yen), on condition that $1 is 120yen.On the other hand most hospitals have financial difficulties in Japan.

4月は先生方が忙しくなりそう・・ Users will be busy in April.
先週末ある先生よりこんな嘆きのお言葉をいただきました。「4月に施行される新しい診療報酬などの制度がいまだ決まらない。おそらくどこの医療機関も4月は新しい制度に対応するために大忙しで、君らの相手もまともにできないかもしれないね。」ましてや3月は花粉症の時期です。余裕をもって面会していただけるのは今のうちでしょう。On last Friday a doctor said to me,“New medical fee systems that are going to be applied in April have not been established yet. Maybe most hospitals and clinics will be busy in order to be accustomed to new system in that period. So we might have less time to see you.”And that cedar pollens strike in March.It is the recent days we are able to visit users easily.

富士フィルムが富山化学を吸収合併するというニュースにはやや驚きました。業界の中での再編は何が起こってもおかしくないと思っていましたが、業界を越えての動きがいよいよ始まったのかという印象です。まさしく「異種格闘技戦の幕開け」と言えるでしょう。今後は、富士フィルムが医薬品業界独特の文化をどれだけ理解して的確な企画ができるかが,このM$Aの成否のカギを握っているのではないでしょうか。It was surprising news that Fujifilm are going to acquire Toyama-Kagaku.We have expected any case of M&A within pharmaceutical companies.At last new era has just begun across the industrial walls.We can say “Battle Royal Opening” on the market.In my opinion whether Fujifilm succeed or not depends on how the film company understand the peculiar culture and custom of pharmaceutical company and design appropriate plans.

読売新聞第一面のほぼ全部を・・・ On the almost top page of Yomiuri Shimbun of Feb 13.
読売新聞2月13日付の朝刊トップページの大部分を、小児科医・産婦人科医不足の記事で占められていました。多くの国民に課題提起するという点では、かなり評価できるのではないかと思います。ただあえて言えば、医療「供給者」側だけの状況紹介に終わってしまっていること。「需要」側である、患者さんや一般市民の方々が、「どうすれば快適な医療を享受できるか」などといった問題提起が今回の記事に限らずあまり論じられていないことです。「家庭や職場での普段からの心がけ」「どのような場合に医療機関へ行くべきか」など、患者さんへ啓発するべき事項などを議論する、また医療機関と患者・市民との需要供給側両者が話し合うことも、円滑な医療を展開するためにも大切なことではないでしょうか？On the almost top page of Yomiuri Shimbun of Feb 13, there are articles about the issue of shortage in pediatricians and obstetricians.It would be worthwhile to notice the issue to a lot of people in Japan.But the articles seem only to deal with the medical “supply” side.And it does not almost infer about “demand” side such as patients and people in order to enjoy good medical system.In my opinion we (or media) should consider how patients or people learn good actions such as usual custom for health or what cases we should go to hospitals or clinics.Besides it would be effective and constructive to talk about the issue between medical stuff and patients or people so as to keep desirable medication.

営業活動に正解はない There is no answer as for MR activity.
長年MR活動をやって実感するのは、「営業活動に正解はない」ということです。熟慮に綿密に考え抜いた方法があえなく失敗してしまったり、かと、思えば「思いつき」的な行動が、当たったりする。あえて言えば「結果」が正解ということになるでしょう。というわけで、建設的な助言は大歓迎ですが、単なる「批評家」の意見を聞くのは時間の無駄だと思っています。“There is no answer as for MR activity.”This is the phrase I have been kept in mind for long time as a MR.Failure despite well thought plan.Or success despite caprice.Result might be only the answer.So I appreciate constructive opinion.But it is waste of time to listen to “critics” talking.

大ベテランへの敬意 We must respect the seniorities.
本日,2月に定年退職される方の送別会がありました。普段は物静かな方でしたが、時折発せられるお言葉には、かなりの重みを感じさせられました。若手ばかりが脚光を浴びる傾向にありますが、このようないぶし銀のような方への尊敬の念も忘れてはいけません。Mさん、本当に長い間お疲れ様でした。The farewell party was held for a MR who is going to retire at age of 60 in February tonight.He has been usually gentle but sometimes said some words which were so valuable.In many cases young businesspersons are admired, but we must respect experienced ones like him.M san, we must appreciate your contribution of long time.
