It is a well-known action movie.
When I was reading a column in Financial Times this morning, I read following sentence.
His father, a die-hard Sandinista who fought in the 1979 insurrection that toppled the rightwing Somoza dictatorship, worries that his son is becoming a "slave".

As you can read from the sentence, Sandinista is leftwing revolutionaries who toppled the rightwing Somoza dictatorship.
But what it a "die-hard" revolutionary?
He must be a hard-boiled person like the guy in the film?
I skeptically looked up in the dictionary.
It says "diehard: strongly opposing change and new ideas (Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary)".
Oh, I didn't know that the title "Die Hard" comes from this word.
I thought it was because the hero in the film lives the life next to death and he is quite hard-boiled……
