(Synopsis)
It is the story happened in the golden age of Narnia, when the High King Peter was on his throne.
A little poor fisherman-boy named Shasta lived in a small village, far south in Calormen, on a little creek of the sea.
One day, he was about to be sold to a rich man by his father. But at that night he ran from his father, under the instruction of a horse of the rich man.
The horse was a talking horse from mysterious north land of Narnia.
The two headed North to go to Narnia and adventure starts.
This is the fifth book to be read in Narnia chronicles.
The main character of the story is not a person from our world, but a poor fisherman boy and a talking horse from the world of Narnia.
As a lover of animal-stories, I liked this book very much, and I think it is less preachy than other Narnia stories.
The concept that "a poor family's boy was a pedigree of noble-birth" might seem to be little trite to grown-ups but it worth reading for youngs.
