Pimsleur

Do you know about Pimsleur method?
It is quite major tool to study foreign conversation.
As I am going for business trip to Morocco, I suddenly got in the mood of studying French conversation. So, I downlorded "Pimsleur Quick and Simple French for English Speakers" from audible.com.

It is amazingly well planned program, and within 6 of the 8 lessons, 30 minutes each, I now could make greetings, ask if others could speak English, declare I can not speak French well or I am an American (I can change the word to Japanese), ask the direction, consult if the others would like to eat or drink something and when or where and answer if I would like to eat or drink something, and when or where.
It is oral program and as it is downloaded, I don't have any text books. Almost no grammar is explained but I already remembered some of the conjugation of verbs in connection with subject or the rule to make negative sentences.

At Japanese school, the main part of the Englsih study was how to decrypt or encrypt foreign language with the key of grammar and it was not the training of reflexes. I thought it is no wonder we are not good at English conversation.
