The carriage on Nagareyama Line is 5000 Series, which is secondhand one from Seibu Railway known as 101 Series and has five different body colours, light blue with white line ("Ryuma"), orange with white line ("Ryusei"), red with white line ("Akagi"), light green with white line ("Wakaba"), and yellow with light green line ("Nanohana").
In 2016, Nagareyama Line marks 100th anniversary of its opening. To celebrate the anniversary, some carriages had front sign.
Before the train coming, I asked a station staff which carriage was in service. He answered "Ryusei" and "Nanohana", both of which had the front sign, were in service. Then "Nanohana" came into the platform. To tell the truth, "Nanohana" was the carriage I wanted to ride best.
When this carriage had been in service on Seibu Ikebukuro and Seibu-chichibu Lines, it had been called 271F set, which had revived the old yellow and beige colour since 2009 to celebrate 40th anniversary of Seibu-chichibu Line's opening and one of the last remainning 101 Series on those lines. It had moved to Nagareyama Line in 2013 and been renamed as 5005F set "Nanohana". It was first time for me to see this carriage.
The interior of the carriage was almost the same as the last time on Ikebukuro Line except the number of grab handle, LED information display above the door of driver's cab, space for wheelchair, and ding-dong sounds when the doors were opening and closing.
Leaving from Koya, the train ran along branch stream of Saka River and separated from the railway of Joban Line. While the travel to the neighbour station, Kogane-joshi, there were some crossings without actuated flashing lights and boom gates. Turning left, the train dropped into Kogane-joshi Station.
Kogane-joshi Station is the only one middle station where both direction trains meet each other. The train stopped until a opposit direction one came to wait for the next section would be vacant.
Soon after leaving Kogane-joshi Station, the train crossed the main stream of Saka River, which bordered Matsudo City and Nagareyama City. Entering Nagareyama City, the train ran along an irrigation canal in a residential area, where Hiregasaki Station was located.
While the travel between Hiregasaki and Heiwadai, There remains forests and fields, some of which were under construction. As the train approaching Heiwadai, the scenery gradually changed; apartment buildings and supermarkets were seen.
As leaving Heiwadai Station, the train soon arrived Nagareyama terminal.
The train approached platform 1. 5004F set "Wakaba" was stopping at the opposite track as an out-of-service train, and 5001F "Ryuma" and 5003F "Akagi" were stopping at the train shed over the station.
After getting off the train, I photographed some pictures of Nagareyama Line trains while walking along the railway.
I felt the variation of scenery along Nagareyama Line was impressive; mainly residential area, but crossings without lights and gates and forests, which made nostalgic atmosphere. However, the condition of the railway didn't seemed to be good, which caused the pitching motion from start to end.
