From Isehara Station on Odakyu Odawara Line, it takes about thirty-five minutes to Oyama Cable Station by bus and on foot (twenty-minute travel by bus to Oyama Cable Stop and a fifteen-minute walk to the station).
Oyama Cablecar spreads between Oyama Cable Station and Afuri Shrine Station in the middle of Mt. Oyama, Kanagawa Prefecture. It is 800-metre/2624.7-foot-long. The vertical interval between the start and the terminal is 278 metre/912 feet, and the steepest angle of the slope is 25.5 degrees.
As I got on the train, I heard a piece of BGM and driver's announcement.
The train started to run into the greenish mountain. It runs at 12.6-kilometre/7.8-mile per hour.
Because of the beautiful scenery toward the foot of the mountain, the carriage mainly equips transverse seatings facing the direction toward Oyama Cable Station.
Oyama Temple Station stands at the middle point of the line, where the train met the descending (Oyama-Cable-bound) train. Some passengers got off there.
It takes about six minutes between Oyama Cable Station and Afuri Shrine Station. Though it was a short-time trip, I could enjoy it because of the greenish scenery. I also felt that the high ceiling looked like that of Odakyu 50000 Series VSE.
