The Chevy Camaro, first introduced in 1967 model year and also called a pony car or a muscle car, is an iconic part of American history, as is the Chevrolet Corvette, which was first introduced for the 1953 model year and is often categorized the same way. These models are also available in a popular convertible form. In fact, the Chevrolet was first introduced as a convertible when it appeared in concept car & original production car styles. For the 2012 model year, Chevrolet offers both of these convertibles in several different trims and varieties. As always, they are sure to impress those drivers with a heavy foot and a lust for power.

The 2012 Chevy Corvette comes in several different varieties: the 2012 convertible model, the 2012 coupe, the 2012 Grand Sport convertible, the 2012 Grand Sport coupe , the 2012 Z06, and the infamous Corvette ZR1. The base convertible model starts at only $54,600, while the ZR1 has a starting price of $111,600. The Grand Sport convertible comes in at $59,600 even, and the 2012 Z06 is priced $75,600. The Corvette has risen to supercar status and is priced far below most of its foreign competitors. It most directly competes with such vehicles as the Mercedes-Benz SLK350 Roadster and the BMW Z4, which are priced around the same as the Corvette convertible.

The 2012 Grand Sport Convertible competes with the Audi S5 3.0T Convertible and the BMW Z4 sDrive35i Convertible and hits 430 horsepower. Several interior aspects of the Chevrolet Corvette have changed for this year including a new seat design, extra armrest padding, and a new steering wheel. The Corvette also gets a new 9-speaker Bose audio system, as well as new internal and external customization features.

It's available in LT and SS trims in convertible form. The Camaro was re-introduced in 2010 after a seven-year hiatus, and this year it's better than ever before.
