The Chevy Camaro, first introduced in 1967 model year and also called a pony car or a muscle car, is an iconic part of American history, as is the Chevrolet Corvette, which was first introduced for the 1953 model year and is often categorized the same way. These models are also often seen in convertible form. For the 2012 model year, Chevrolet offers both of these coupes in several different trims and varieties. As always, they are sure to impress even the choosiest drivers.

The 2012 Chevy Corvette comes in several different varieties: the 2012 coupe model, the 2012 convertible, the 2012 Grand Sport coupe, the 2012 Grand Sport convertible, 2012 Z06, and the infamous Corvette ZR1. The coupe model starts at only $49,600, while the ZR1 has a starting price of $111,600. The Grand Sport coupe comes in at $56k even and the 2012 Z06 $75,600. The Corvette has risen to supercar status and is priced far below most of its foreign competitors. It most directly competes with such vehicles as Porsche Cayman and the Audi TTS, which are priced around the same as the Corvette coupe.

The more heftily-priced ZR1 competes with vehicles such as the Maserati GranTurismo MC Coupe and the Nissan GT-R Premium Coupe, while the Grand Sport Coupe competes with the Audi S5 and Audi TT RS coupes. Several interior aspects of the Chevrolet Corvette have changed for this year including a new seat design, extra armrest padding, and a new steering wheel. The Corvette also gets a new 9-speaker Bose audio system, as well as new internal and external customization features.

The 2012 Chevrolet Camaro is another sporty vehicle that's available in several variants, including the 2012 Camaro Coupe, the 2012 Camaro Convertible, and the 2012 ZL1, which the brand calls "barely street legal" and packs an amazing 580 horsepower. The Camaro is also available in several special editions sure to set the driver apart from the other sports cars, even Camaro models, which are roaming the streets. The Camaro coupe is very reasonably priced starting at $23,280, while the fiery ZL1 starts at $54,095 and resurrects the iconic name with its powerful V8.The Camaro coupe competes against the Dodge Challenger and the Ford Mustang for top sporty spot in the United States, and the base coupe comes in LS, LT, and SS trims. The Camaro was re-introduced in 2010 after a seven-year hiatus, and this year it's better than ever before.

The Chevy Camaro sees a number of fantastic improvements for 2012. The V6 versions of the Camaro are equipped with more power and the SS coupe receives a new sport suspension. A new rear view camera is now available, and all new Camaro models have an improved interior as well. The new standard rear spoiler and "RS"-style headlights are sure to make enthusiasts swoon.
