The 2012 Hyundai Equus Sedan offers drivers a harmonic blend of power and luxury. The vehicle is heralded by Hyundai as its top model, and features many different functions that help to make the vehicle beneficial. However, while there aren't many changes from last year's model, a few new features can be found.

The Equus Sedan is powered by a 5.0-liter V-8 engine that delivers an impressive 429 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque. Zero to 60 mph in accomplished in a brisk 5.7 seconds and an eight-speed automatic transmission is standard. The engine is designed with the Tuned Induction System to help improve the torque and horsepower for heavy duty needs. The lightweight build of the engine helps to give it a fuel economy rating of 15 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway.

The leather design that has been used in older versions of the Equus makes a return in the 2012 edition. The leather seating comes in many colors and is engineered with a combination of a solid surface and a design with small holes to help support the heating and cooling features. The two rear seats are made with their own individual heating and cooling features. The Equus does not skimp on the rear seat comfort like so many other luxury cars to, and it offers more than enough space for anyone to get comfortable.

While the Equus may boast the power of a sports car, it offers all the safety features that you would want in a family vehicle. In fact, it was rated "Good" in frontal-offset, side-impact and roof-strength crash tests, and it can brake from 60 mph in 131 feet. This is a vehicle you can feel good about driving, whether alone or hauling precious cargo in car seats in the back!

The technology in the Equus includes an eight inch VGA screen that lists information on the vehicle and adjusts all of the air, sound and diagnostic controls in the vehicle. This information comes from the Driver Information System. XM NavTraffic can also work, but this is an optional feature. It works to list car information and even details on when the vehicle departs from its lane.

All of the features in the Equus are available for around $58,000 in its base Signature model. The Ultimate model will cost around $66,000. The Ultimate model features reclining seats, a rear refrigerator, a side sunshade and many other additional luxurious features.
