South Korean automaker Hyundai has always been known for its sedan models, and the 2012 model year is no exception. The automaker is currently offering a wide selection of sedans from which to choose, letting its drivers know that there's a Hyundai for everyone. 2012 models include: the Hyundai Genesis, the Hyundai Accent, the Hyundai Sonata, the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, the Hyundai Eqqus, and the Hyundai Elantra.

The Hyundai Genesis really represented a turn-around for the automaker, and it has been selling well since its debut. The Genesis was Hyundai's first shot at the luxury auto market, and it competes easily with luxury brands like Cadillac, Acura, Lexus, and the aforementioned Infiniti brand. The Genesis offers a quiet ride, opulent features, and an amazingly low luxury price. The 2012 Hyundai Genesis sedan has a starting MSRP of $34,200 and achieves 19 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway fuel economy ratings. The Genesis sedan is known for its sharp handling, its beyond-comfortable ride quality, its strong 4-cylinder fuel economy, its excellent value for the features included, and luxurious cabin, complete with Lexicon sound system. However, if it's performance you're looking for: try the coupe version. Its RWD driving dynamics really take things up a notch. The sedan comes in several trims for the 2012 year, including the base 3.8, the 4.6, the 5.0, and the specialty 5.0 R-Spec trims.

The 2012 Hyundai Sonata is a midsize sedan that just keeps getting better. This year, the Sonata is priced from $19,695, while its hybrid version (which achieves 35 mpg city/40 mpg highway) has a starting price of $25,850. The traditional Sonata gets 24 mpg city/35 mpg highway. The Sonata sedan is known for its long list of standard and optional features and its stylish cabin. It comes in five trims this year and competes with the Kia Optima. It received several technology upgrades this year.

The 2012 Hyundai Accent sedan starts at only $12,445 this year and has been a leading economy car since 1995 due to its quiet cabin and generous standard equipment list. The Accent comes in one trim, the GLS, and comes with a full redesign for this year. It competes with the Kio Rio, the Ford Fiesta, and the Chevy Sonic.

The Hyundai Elantra was first introduced in the early 1990s, but it didn't get off to a very good start. Two decades later, however, it's a class leader due to great performance and styling. The Elantra sedan starts at only $15,195 this year and comes in GLS, GLS PZEV, Limited, and Limited PZEV trims. It competes with the Ford Focus and Honda Civic.

The Hyundai Equus sedan was the automaker's flagship full-size luxury vehicle. It is named after the Latin word for "horse" and has been produced since 1999. For the 2012 year, the Equus comes with an enormous list of standard and optional features, unreal cabin space, and a peaceful ride. It's available in Signature trim (starting at $58,750) and Ultimate trim (starting at $65,750). The Equus gets a new V8, 5.0-liter engine and 8-speed automatic transmission this year, as well as new power rear-window shades. It competes with the Lexus LS, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, and the BMW 5-Series.
