There are four different trims available on the Hyundai Genesis Sedan. The options are the 3.8, 4.6, 5.0 and 5.0 R-Spec. With the base 3.8 trim buyers will get the smaller engine as well as many features. The wheels on this trim are 17 inches, there are headlights that are automatic, foglamps, mirrors that are heated, a keyless entry and ignition and a sunroof. Inside the cabin buyers will be greeted with cruise control, climate control, a powered driver seat including lumbar, a power passenger seat, heat in both front seats, full leather upholstery, a steering wheel that tilts and a rearview mirror that dims automatically. There is also Bluetooth and a sound system with seven speakers, CD player, satellite radio, auxiliary jack and iPod interface.

Optional packages for the 3.8 include the Premium Package and the Technology Package. The Premium upgrades the wheels to 18 inches, adds a sunroof, makes the wipers automatic, adds power-folding to the mirrors, brings in a steering wheel that has power tilting and telescoping, adds a camera in the rear and a navigation system. The sound system is upgraded to a Lexicon surround sound and boasts 14 speakers and a CD/DVD player. The Technology Package adds on to the Premium Package with things like HID headlamps, sensors on the front and rear for parking, cruise control that's adaptive, a warning system for lane departure, electronic brake for parking, upgraded leather, ventilation in the driver seat and heat in the rear seats. There is also a better Bluetooth and a multimedia interface. The speaker jumps up to a Lexicon with 17 speakers, HD radio and six CD/DVD changer.

Those that opt for the 4.6 Trim get both the Premium and Technology packages and change the steering wheel from leather wrapped to wood trim. A step up to the 5.0 changes nothing from the 4.6 except the engine. The 5.0 R-Spec, however, adds in larger wheels and a transmission, suspension and steering that are all sport tuned. Buyers can also opt for summer tires with high performance.
