ProsTesla has invested a lot in sound insulation making the ride a lot more pleasant than it was.

ProsThe Tesla Coupe vehicle's rocky ride on uneven surfaces has become largely a thing of the past thanks to a recalibrated suspension.

ConsThe Coupe cabin is unreasonably small, at just 44 inches tall with the top up, around six inches shorter than its nearest petrol driven sub-compact rival.

ConsThe 2011 version of the Tesla Roadster Electric Coupe still comes with issues of slightly excess tire noise that have been partially offset by the introduction of a recently revamped front fender liners designed to suppress cabin dissonance. However the 2011 Tesla Roadster could never be described as quiet, especially at top speeds where the electric motor can be heard to make a slightly annoying whirring sound.

ConsThe biggest con of all has to be that the current version of the Tesla Roadster Coupe looks like it will be going out of production early in 2012, due to Tesla's contract with Lotus Cars to supply 2,500 gliders that have now run out that means that the next generation of Tesla Roadster Coupe, based on Tesla's Model S saloon, will not be available till well into 2014. Tesla are reported to be making every effort to become self sufficient in terms of future production based at their new California plant.
