Some may ask why NSLS, why focus on leadership training? Leadership skills are the fundamentals of any career–it allows you to understand relationships, public speaking, and communication. As students begin to navigate their college journey and prepare themselves for the labor market, leadership skills and constant training is paramount to their success.

The UCNJ chapter of the NSLS was founded in Fall 2019 and is housed under the Office of College Life. During its first semester, all workshops took place on the Elizabeth Campus and the following semester on the Cranford campus of UCNJ, providing students the opportunity to easily attend the workshops. Although 2020 has brought on unforeseen experiences, NSLS will continue to provide experiential experiences to current and incoming members.
