The Denver Broncos parted ways with two running backs on Monday.
Denver waived Audric Estime , a fifth-round draft pick in 2024, and Blake Watson , who joined the team as an undrafted free agent in 2024. After suffering a PCL strain in the team's preseason finale, Watson received an injury settlement.
Both running backs could be candidates to return on the practice squad if they clear waivers (which isn't a given, especially for Estime). Meanwhile, the Broncos appear poised to go into the 2025 regular season with J.K. Dobbins , RJ Harvey , Tyler Badie and Jaleel McLaughlin as their four active-roster running backs.
Dobbins is a veteran who joined the team as a free agent this spring. Harvey is a rookie who was picked by Denver in the second year of this year's NFL draft. Badie is a fourth-year RB who had his 2024 season derailed by a scary back injury , and McLaughlin is a 2023 undrafted free agent signing who spent the last two seasons in a scatback role.
Of course, nothing is official until the 53-man roster is set at 2 p.m. MT on Tuesday, but Dobbins, Harvey, Badie and McLaughlin appear poised to make the team. We'll continue to track all of Denver's moves on Broncos Wire .
