Broncos Wire 's 90-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at fourth-year long snapper Mitchell Fraboni , No. 48.
Before the Broncos :Fraboni (6-2, 223 pounds) played for four years at Arizona State , (beginning as a walk-on, earning a scholarship in 2015) in the Pac 12 from 2014-17. During his time with the Sun Devils, Fraboni made 14 total tackles (eight solo, six assisted) and recorded one fumble recovery in 43 career games. Fraboni had two different stints in "The Spring League" before a short stop with the Houston Texans in 2021. He later played in the USFL with the Pittsburgh Maulers in the summer of 2022. After his time in the summer league, Fraboni signed with the Denver Broncos ' practice squad in October 2022.
Broncos tenure:Fraboni played in four games in 2022, recording five tackles in 40 special teams snaps. In 2023, Fraboni earned the full-time snapper job, forcing one fumble and making six tackles (two solo, four assisted). In 2024, Fraboni remained the full-time long snapper, recording five tackles (three solo, two assisted).
Chances to make the 53-man roster:Essentially a lock. The Broncos resigned Fraboni to a three-year, $4.2 million contract in March. Although Fraboni missed Denver's mandatory minicamp after having a back procedure done, he is expected to be ready for training camp. Fraboni is not currently facing any competition for long-snapping duties, so he's essentially a lock to make the team.
