The Cleveland Browns have found their next coach.
Cleveland hired Todd Monken on Wednesday, according to multiple reports . The terms of Monken’s deal are unknown.
The Las Vegas Raiders and the Arizona Cardinals are the only two teams left with head coaching vacancy.
Monken has been with the Baltimore Ravens since 2023 and worked with two-time MVP Lamar Jackson .
Monken, according to Front Office Sports , is one of the NFL’s highest-paid offensive coordinators. He earned $3 million per season.
The 59-year-old has familiarity with the Browns after he served as their defensive coordinator in 2019 under then-coach Freddie Kitchens.
Monken helped the Georgia Bulldogs to two National Championships while he was the offensive coordinator and quarterback’s coach.
He joins a Browns staff that goes into the 2026 season with a lot of questions, including at quarterback. Deshaun Watson is expected to return next season after twice-tearing his Achilles last year. He’s owed $46 million in 2026 — the final year of his guaranteed deal.
In three seasons, Watson has played just 19 games for Cleveland. He was suspended for the first 11 games in 2022 for violating the NFL’s personal-conduct policy . Watson was accused of sexual misconduct by several women. He has settled neatly two dozen civil lawsuits.
The Browns also have Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel .
