Bruins assistant general manager Jamie Langenbrunner is among the candidates to lead the Vancouver Canucks .
Langenbrunner interviewed for the Canucks' open general manager position and was said to be "very impressive," according to Rick Dhaliwal .
It's unclear when the interview was, or what Vancouver's timeline is to hire a new GM.
Langenbrunner is not the first person on the Bruins staff to be considered for a high-ranking job. Fellow assistant general manager Evan Gold is reported to be one of three finalists to be the next GM of the Toronto Maple Leafs .
Langenbrunner is in his 11th season with the Bruins organization, and his fourth the the assistant general manager of player personnel. He previously served as the director of player development and player personnel advisor.
The Canucks fired Patrik Allvin earlier this month after three-plus seasons. Vancouver finished last in the NHL with a 25-49-8 record and missed the Stanley Cup playoffs for the fifth time in six seasons.
The new GM's first order of business will be to decide whether coach Adam Foote will return next year for a second season after a rough campaign.
