The Chicago Bears are about to begin the process of trimming through their ninety-man roster they are bringing with them to training camp as they try to narrow that down to fifty-three players by the time that the regular season rolls around.
The Bears also had six different players work out for the team recently according to KPRC 2 Houston's Aaron Wilson.
The Bears, had a lot of safeties as four of the six players played that position.
The safeties that worked out for the Bears were Hudson Clark, Glendon Miller, Marlon Sewell, and Josh Minkins.
All of those guys went undrafted back in April and, there's a lot of different, conferences represented.
The SEC, ACC, and Big Twelve were all represented among those safeties.
The Bears also had, two international players try out as, Kalen Faumui and, Ben Tetiukura both tried out for the Bears as well.
Both of them are projected to be offensive linemen and, Tetiukura is even a rugby player who comes in at six foot nine.
So, if the Bears can, get something out of him like the Eagles did with, Jordan Mailata, that would be the best case scenario.
So we'll have to see.
There's no telling if these, players will even make the team, but the Bears are still evaluating talent as they prepare for training camp next week with, quarterbacks and rookies set to report here in the next couple of days.
And then the veterans and the rest of the players on the team will all report July twenty-seventh, as the team has its first, practice of training camp the following day on Wednesday.
This Bears team is entering a critical era under Ben Johnson as they have now made the playoffs and are trying to sustain their success as they, go into another season of his offensive scheme.
We know how the NFL, there are no guarantees, and the Bears should understand that very well as they prepare for yet another season with Ben Johnson at the helm.
And hopefully they'll be able to do something very similar to what they did in twenty twenty-five, if not improve up-
