Recall alert: Kia recalls over 300,000 vehicles over faulty parts
Kia has initiated two recalls spanning over 300,000 of their vehicles due to loose parts, according the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The recalls include 201,149 2023 to 2025 Telluride vehicles for faulty door belt molding trims and 100,063 2023 to 2025 K5 vehicles for loose rear window trims.
In the recalls, Kia acknowledged that the pieces may detach and "become a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash."
Owners of the affected vehicles should return the vehicles to a Kia dealership where the faulty parts will be inspected and replaced free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on Sep. 26.
