The WinkBed ships free to all 48 contiguous states and is built to order, so delivery times vary based on your order and location. In most cases, though, you can expect your mattress to arrive about two weeks after purchase.

The mattress arrives folded, compressed and heavy. The queen-size mattress is 135 pounds. Schweitzer described it as "challenging to maneuver" — so you may want to plan on having someone help you out, especially if stairs are involved. Alternatively, WinkBed offers white-glove delivery , including setup and removal of your old mattress and any packaging, starting at $150.

Once you get your bed into the room of your choice, setup is straightforward: open the box, unroll the mattress, and let it expand. Unlike some bed-in-a-box options, the WinkBed had no noticeable off-gassing or chemical smell after unboxing and was ready to sleep on almost immediately.
