BreakOut Studios is more than a dance and fitness studio — we’re a movement community built for adults. What makes BreakOut special is our belief that movement is for everyone. Whether you danced for years, are stepping into a studio for the very first time, or simply want a fun and welcoming way to stay active, there’s a place for you here. Our schedule brings dance and fitness together under one roof, with classes ranging from Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Modern and Tap to Dance Cardio, Strength & Conditioning, TRX, Yoga, Pilates and more. With multiple levels, beginners can start from the basics while experienced movers can continue to train and challenge themselves. At The Drop Dance Studio, we serve the Tucson community through the education of street dance and their cultures such as Hip Hop, Breaking, Popping, Locking, Whacking and other dance forms. We are also proud to be the first and only Nonprofit 501(c)(3) street dance studio in Tucson. We provide educational dance programs, drop-in classes, performances, and events to our community to Inspire, Manifest, and Elevate the future generations of dance artists and leaders. Our main focus is to provide a safe space for others to learn while properly representing these dance forms to instill integrity and leave a legacy of positivity and mentorship.
Belly Dance, Egyptian style
Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip-Hop and Musical Theatre Dance for ages 3-19. We are a non-competition, performance based studio. Our Classic Nutcracker Ballet is performed every December.
Flor de Liz Dance provides a full dance education to individuals of almost any age. We do this by offering group classes, private lessons, and performance opportunities. We also, offer a selection of dance attire and studio rentals to outside groups.
With over 50 years of experience bringing rhythm to people's steps, I specialize in teaching an exciting variety of styles, including Ballroom, Latin, and Country Western. I believe that learning to dance should be fun and exciting, which is why I combine 5 decades of seasoned expertise with highly affordable pricing. Whether you're looking to master a graceful waltz, heat up the floor with a fiery salsa, or dust off your boots for a classic two-step, you'll get world-class instruction that keeps both your feet moving and your budget happy.
ZUZI Dance
With no more than 108 seats, this theater is the most intimate venue for dance performances in Tucson. Artistic directors Nanette Robinson and Nancy Mellan have saved the historic YWCA building south of University Boulevard from oblivion while creating a successful community-based dance school in the process. Modern dance, jazz dance, ballet and aerial dance on a trapeze are all part of the class schedule. The space can also be rented for special artistic events.
