North Spokane Dance Center is part of the Spokane Area Council, an organization of 21 social dance clubs. Including Coeur d'Alene, Kennewick, Post Falls & Cheney, as well as Spokane & Spokane Valley. If you are interested in learning about square, round or folk dancing, contact me. If you would like to see dancing, stop by the hall any time there are cars in the lot. Watch & ask questions of any dancer. We are part of the WA State Federation which includes square, round & folk dance clubs. Our goal is; to promote a spirit of friendship & tolerance among people through dance & fellowship; to assist in the formation & development of square, round & folk dance groups; to represent square, round & folk dancing activities as wholesome & recreational to the highest standard; to promote square, round & folk dancing functions to the general public. Nonprofit, noncompetitive, family friendly, singles welcome, casual, relaxed. All we really want to do is - enjoy dancing with as many people as we can.
At Inland Northwest Ballet, we base the training of our students on several goals we have for our Spokane studio and the children who choose to study here. Some of these goals are the enhancement of self-esteem, musical awareness, a sense of personal growth, the ability to work with others, the development of discipline, artistic excellence, and fun. Also essential is the development of a solid dance technique. This we accomplish not through the learning of dances, but by building lessons around carefully planned exercises that each serve a specific purpose, and lesson by lesson grow into a better understanding and improved dance technique. A dance is soon forgotten, but proper carriage of the body and the self esteem it brings will last a lifetime. Most important of all, our goal is to nurture and enhance each child's natural love of dance. We hope that these goals will be met by your child in the coming years.
Coil Studio seeks to provide a studio culture where all students feel welcomed, safe, nourished, and challenged to grow. We offer instruction at all levels of ability, with teachings that are accessible and relevant to your daily life and to the real world. We are committed to learning who you are, cultivating community, friendship, laughter, and being in practice together; if you come to one of our classes alone, by the first few visits you will probably know everyone in the room by name. All bodies, sizes, ages, spiritual beliefs, gender representations, and expressions of humanity are welcome. We are all in this together; come join us, and be in movement together in a supportive community.
