Ben Kazez Voice Studio

I am an internationally touring classical singer who loves to teach. As a singer, I have sung with the Monteverdi Choir (Sir John Eliot Gardiner) and Netherlands Bach Society, and as a soloist, with William Christie, Masato Suzuki, Václav Luks, and Lionel Meunier. As a teacher, I've helped students get into to the San Francisco Symphony Chorus and Northwestern's master's program, make audition recordings, and just enjoy singing at home. Please contact me if you might be interested in a free consultation! About my teaching: Singing can sometimes seem counterintuitive or confusing, and my goal is to make it as predictable, easy, and fun as possible. My technical approach to singing involves a relaxed, upright posture; a low, free inhalation and exhalation; an utter lack of tension in the throat/jaw/tongue; and honest vowel and consonants. From there, I work with vocal acoustics and the student's own learning style to develop a singing technique that works every time. Beyond that, I help people learn great French/German/Italian/English diction (I'm fluent in French and Italian!) and sing with great style in baroque music, lieder, chansons, and opera of all periods. I perform regularly in France, Italy, and Germany, with internationally touring ensembles, and I love assisting people in their growth. Most of all, I love to help people who are at any stage of their vocal journey, so please don't hesitate to contact me!

Raz Kennedy

For nearly four decades, Raz Kennedy has professionally trained and coached singers of all ages, levels, and musical styles. As a vocal instructor, his mission is to place the desires and wishes of each singer he assists first. Raz achieves the best results in enabling the singer to attain his or her goals by using teaching methods and pedagogical tools that work in harmony with how the voice functions most naturally, not against it. Raz Kennedy's teaching methods are based in scientific analysis of vocal anatomy, as well as in a rich understanding of music history and ethnomusicology. With this knowledge as the foundation of his teaching, Raz is most effective in helping singers to achieve expressive and dynamic, free and easy, healthy, and safe approaches to singing. With over 40 years of extensive formal training, integrated with his personal and professional singing experience, Raz Kennedy has come to believe that anyone can sing. If given the proper tools, a healthy person can learn to sing well without any vocal hinderance or discrepancy whatsoever. It is Raz's mission to be an advocate for and assist anyone who desires to experience and manifest the expressive liberating power of the art of singing.

Transformative Voice With Wynde Vastine

I am a voice teacher, performance and acting coach, voice-specialized Speech-Language Pathologist, and somatic practitioner. Working with the voice can be a profoundly empowering, healing, and transformative process. When we learn how to allow our voice to exist, we can unlock our gifts and touch the sacred. People work with me for all sorts of reasons. I work with professional actors, singers, activists, teachers, the LGBTQIA+ community, and more. I have a special focus in working within the transgender community. I work with both the speaking and singing voice. Whether you are looking to expand your range, or find your true voice, I firmly believe that everyone can sing. My teaching largely draws on my background in the Roy Hart Theatre Voice Work, and Kristin Linklater's approach to 'Freeing the Natural Voice, as well as my experience as a voice-specialized speech-language pathologist. My role is more accurately described as facilitator and guide, as the individuals find their own pathways into different areas of the voice, and explore their vocal geography. Specialties: gender affirming singing and speaking, range expansion, actors, voice-soul connection, somatic experiencing, neurodiversity- affirming
