Give yourself or your child the gift of music! Let this be the season to explore your creativity and expression in music! Welcome! Hello, my name is Catherine, and I've been teaching piano for 25+ years in Denver and also Kansas City. I teach ages 6 to 96. The oldest student I have given instruction was in her 80's! I love teaching, and adapt lesson flow around individual students. I am excellent at what I do. Lessons include an open format allowing students to grow in their piano playing abilities, technique, theory and improvisation. I graduated from Colorado Christian University with my degree in Music. Additional studies in Piano Performance at Metropolitan State University. Interesting note for you: Research shows that piano playing is ideal in the development and increase of coordination and intelligence especially in children. Give me a call, text or email to set up your free consultation to explore your possibilities and expand your horizons! See you soon!

Every child and adult should have the opportunity to enjoy music, regardless of their skill level! We offer a variety of lesson atmospheres, meeting each student where they are most comfortable and able to learn. Private music lessons are the fastest way to master a new instrument, and our teachers are deeply knowledgeable and qualified. Learn how to play the piano, guitar, drums, and bass, or band and orchestra instruments like the violin and saxophone, or even take singing lessons. Semi-private lessons are a fun way to learn an instrument with a sibling or friend. We also match up musicians of similar talent in our Performance Tracks for youth and adults, which offer a variety of genres and the opportunity to play and perform with peers. For the little ones, check out our Early Childhood Babblers and Dabblers classes! From 6 months to 5 years classes are offered throughout the week to teach basics of music fundamentals. Set your child up for success with a head start in reading music and recognizing notes, chords, intervals, and more! Summer, spring, and holiday music camps are a fun way to immerse yourself in a rock/pop band for a week. Birthday parties give participants a taste of performing for a few hours. Whether you are a beginner ready to give it a try, or you want your little one to rock the house down at a performance, Performance Play Music School is the place to get started. At Vocal Visions, YOU are the priority. I will help you be the best you can be -- as a singer, as a pianist. My clients tell me that I have a particular knack for describing exactly what needs to happen, through visuals, metaphor, physical descriptions, and demonstration. Many who have had previous teachers have said "no one ever told me how to do this before." Whether it's about support or vocal resonance, or how to play the piano with dynamic flair, I enjoy teaching People -- not clients. I enjoy working with people; learning your particular interests, and relating to you one by one as unique individuals. At Vocal Visions, you will discover and enhance your unique way of expressing music in a fun and supportive atmosphere.
