I specialize in Jewish baked goods. I am also a classically trained pastry chef. I am the only baker in town that does Ceremonial Challah up to 6 feet long. Many of my recipes are inspired by my time working with Karl Sehl, Certified Master Pastry Chef, a 6th generation baker from Germany. His father smuggled Jews out of Nazi Germany in flour bags on his horse drawn wagon. I also owned Diamond Bakery on Fairfax for a few years which has enabled me to bake old world quality goodies. I work out of Deux Bakery, in my opinion one of the best bakeries in town with the BEST baguettes. Wendy and Maury Flemming have created and sustained a true artisan bakery with a skilled and loyal staff. Come say hi and enjoy Wendy's pastries, croissant and baguettes. We also have a fantastic Celebration Cake Creator, Rachel, who does phenominally creative occasion cakes.
We specialize in creating custom buttercream cakes to make your dessert dreams come true. We do not work with fondant, making our designs from chocolate or buttercream frostings, resulting in the best tasting cakes! We work with you to get the look you want and will be up-front with you if your desired cake requires fondant work or something we cannot do.
