Stepping Stones is a warm and nurturing family environment where your toddler or preschool child will thrive socially and academically. It is a fully licensed family day care that is run by a former Boston Public School English teacher and mother of three. The daycare is located in a pristine and spacious Victorian home across the street from a newly renovated playground and park in Malden, Massachusetts. We offer mixed aged groups (toddler through preschool) the chance to learn and thrive in a family environment. For the preschoolers, Stepping Stones provides instruction on letters, numbers, and a curriculum based largely on the Montessori method that fosters independence and a love of learning in children. We also provide yoga, music, and Spanish instruction for all the students. Our childcare center in a family setting could certainly provide the right "stepping stones" for your children's future. Happy Day is a half day private preschool program for children ages 2.9-5 years old and is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. Happy Day offers low student-teacher ratios with a focus on a fun learning environment in preparation for kindergarten. Please contact the school for further information.
The Early Childhood Learning Lab (ECLL) is an open enrollment preschool located in the Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. Its purposes are to provide an exemplary play-based education for children ages 2.9 to 5 years, and to serve as a pre-practicum site for Boston University's Early Childhood Education majors. We plan our curriculum based on our observations of what interests children. Insects, tools, plants, pets, and food preparation are among the many topics that have been investigated by children and teachers in the ECLL.
