Pipster Prep is an active learning preschool designed to outfit potty trained 2.5 - 5 year old students with the skills necessary for academic and emotional success. Our preschool program focuses on preparing students academically and socially for kindergarten. Academic lessons and activities are designed to promote phonics, reading skills, writing, language development, motor skills, math, science, and art. Lessons and activities are also designed to teach children how to be students. Students learn how to compromise, be respectful of others, problem-solve, build confidence, raise their hand, take turns, participate in a classroom, speak to a group, share a teacher's attention, and gain a sense of self.
Woodhaven School is a parent-run cooperative school dedicated to fostering a lifelong love of learning in our children. As a secular and independent school for preschool and older children, Woodhaven strives to nurture the whole child – socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually – through play. The curriculum is inspired by the elements of Waldorf education and reflects the sense of wonder and reverence that children experience in the natural world. We look for clues that fairies and gnomes have visited our garden. We celebrate the simple things and find magic in the mundane. meadowlark is a small in-home preschool with an emphasis on the arts. children draw, paint, sing, dance, do yoga, learn marimba, and play outside everyday!
Gabriel Park Preschool is a non profit cooperative preschool for children ages 2-5 years old. Family members, children and the teacher cooperate to make our school special. At GPPS, parents are involved in their child's preschool experience. Parent involvement gives the school a rich, nurturing environment while also keeping tuition low. At Rising Song children are given the space, trust and freedom to play, imagine and create. Rising Song is a nature-based, Waldorf-inspired preschool, open Monday-Thursday from 9:30-1:30. We're located in a cozy NE home with a half-acre garden/playscape and operate with a low student/teacher ratio of 7:1. Our classroom is mixed age, serving children 3 to 5 years old.
