The Northlake Nature Center (NNC) was founded in 1982 with the aim of collecting, preserving and exhibiting the region's rich natural resources to the public. It is open from dawn to dusk throughout the year and bears no entrance fees except for certain activities and guided walks. Educational programs such as lectures, discussions, bird-watching, kayaking, group fun activities, nature trails etc are organized for corporates, families and kids. Big Branch Apiary open for the 2026 blueberry harvest. We're open Wednesday - Sunday, closed Monday and Tuesday except for Memorial Day (open), through the end of June. Thanks to everyone for a lovely 2025 season. We are open year-round by appointment if you need local honey, fresh eggs, fresh flowers or want to inquire about bee removal.
