USS Intrepid (Aircraft Carrier)

The USS Intrepid, or The Fighting "I" is an Essex Class aircraft carrier owned by the United States Navy. Built and commissioned during the World War II, she was recommissioned for the Vietnam War too. After a long career, the carrier is currently docked in New York city, where it serves as a Sea-Air-Space Museum.

Scribner Building

Celebrated building structure of the Scribner Building was constructed in 1893. The building site was designed by eminent architect Ernest Flagg. The structure entrancingly exemplifies the Beaux Arts style of architecture. It successfully functioned as the corporate headquarters of the renowned publishing company, Charles Scribner's Sons Building. The site has been registered on the National Register of Historic Places. 

New York Federal Gold Vault

New York Federal Gold Vault is one of the primary attractions of Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Situated in the bank's basement, this vault stores gold from all around the world, including foreign governments, businesses, and more. Visitors can take a tour of the facility, which has hundreds of thousands of gold bars, and marvel at the security measures set in place. 

MetLife Building

Originally called the Pan Am building, this landmark skyscraper has dominated the New York skyline since it was built in 1963. Designed in the Brutalist style of architecture, by the well-known Emery Roth and Sons with consultants Pietro Belluschi and Walter Gropius, the building has an unmistakable style and is still an architectural behemoth in Mid-town New York. Since 9/11 tours of the building have been stopped, but it's still possible to take a look around the arcades on the ground floor. The Vanderbilt Avenue lobby houses the Richard Lippold sculpture, Flight, dedicated to Pan American World Airways. It houses some of the most expensive office space available for rent in Mid-town, and is currently managed by Tishman Speyer properties.

James Watson House

Designed it's Federal and Georgian architectural style, the James Watson House is a typical row house that is present on the streets. This house is right next to the shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Bayley Seton. The commanding view of the harbor helped keep an eye, the safe arrival of ships was a crucial. This place was historic and was added to the National Historic Site in the year 1972.
