Esopus Meadows Lighthouse

The Esopus Meadows Lighthouse also known commonly as the Maid of the Meadows is a lighthouse located in the river with the foundation of stone and granite at the top. Also known as the last wooden lighthouse in existence, the white and red structure with the mansard roof is absolutely stunning and is shaped different from others that makes it stand out.

Snyder Estate-Century House

Discover a civilisation that once flourished in an earlier century that is the Snyder Estate Natural Cement Historic District. The origin of the district dates back to the 19th Century where the Snyder family started production of cement on the discovery, later due to the Great Depression the factory was affected and later rose to high production during World War II. Today what remains is the ruins of few structures and other buildings like the Century House, Andrew J. Snyder I House and the Widow Jane Mine. The district has been listed on the U.S National Register of Historic Places.
