Rondout Lighthouse

This light is a beautiful Hudson River landmark that seeks a visit or a paddle-by. A feature on the National Register of Historic Places, it gets its official name from its location. Rondout emerged as a bustling privately-funded canal after the completion of the 108-mile (173-kilometer) long Delaware and Hudson Canal. The historic lighthouse can be reached by boat tours from the Hudson River Maritime Museum. The trip indeed becomes a memory with drinks and dinner served at the lighthouse.

Peekskill Downtown Historic District

The downtown region of New York is swanked by the elegant Peekskill Downtown Historic District. It comprehensively encompasses a total land cover of 40 acres (16 hectares). The historic district is constituted by 150 contributing houses and one contributing object. Most of the structures prevalent in the district follows the Italianate or the Greek Revival style of architecture. The district occupies enormous monumental value and stands listed on the National Register of Historic Places. 

Rondout-West Strand Historic District

The Rondout-West Strand Historic District is a historic neighborhood located in Kingston, New York. Built around 1828, most of the district is situated along the harbor of the Rondout Creek and most of the buildings feature 19th Century architecture. Now a popular tourist hub with a number of commercial establishments, the site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
