Historic Downtown Edmond came into being in 1887 when the Santa Fe Railroad was laid. It contains many historic structures and its two main streets are the shopping hub of the town. This charming downtown area has many cute restaurants, shops, cafes and galleries. You will also see public art in probably every nook and corner.

Edmond Historical Society & Museum is the best place in town to get a glimpse of its history. Set in an old Armory building, you will find the archives, artifacts and documents very fascinating. They also have newspaper clippings and historical photos in their displays.
